Ted Harris , (born Albert Edward Harris; 1927) is an Australian businessman, director of companies, tennis commentator and sport administrator. Personal Harris was born in 1927. He married Vicky, Lithuanian-born at the age of 40 and they have two daughters. He attended The Scots College in Sydney where he was actively involved in sports and debating. While at Scots College, he won the Royal Empire Society Medal, a New South Wales competition for public speaking. Business In 1946, he started work with the Macquarie Broadcasting network as a trainee. He swiftly moved to become a sport broadcaster and then the sporting editor for the network . Ted Harris (ice Hockey)
Edward Alexander Harris (born July 18, 1936) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. Playing career Harris played in the National Hockey League from 1963 to 1975. During this time, he played for the Montreal Canadiens, Minnesota North Stars, Detroit Red Wings, St. Louis Blues, and Philadelphia Flyers. He won four Stanley Cups with Montreal and a fifth with Philadelphia. He currently resides in southern New Jersey, just outside Philadelphia. Harris also fought Hockey Hall of Fame Rookie Bobby Orr in Orr's first regular season NHL fight. Ted Harris (mathematician)
Theodore Edward Harris (11 January 1919 – 3 November 2005) was an American mathematician known for his research on stochastic processes, including such areas as general state-space Markov chains (often now called Harris chains), the theory of branching processes and stochastic models of interacting particle systems such as the contact process. The Harris inequality in statistical physics and percolation theory is named after him. He received his Ph.D. at Princeton University in 1947 under advisor Samuel Wilks. From 1947 until 1966 he worked for the RAND Corporation, heading their mathematics department from 1959 to 1965. From 1966 until retirement in 1989 he was Professor of Mathematics and Electrical Engineering at University of Southern California. Ted Harris (pastor)
Edward "Ted" Harris is a Swedish- Barbadian Doctor of Divinity, writer and pastor. Dr. Harris also leads workshops in existential questions, arranges retreats and pilgrimages. He is the senior pastor at downtown Stockholms Adolf Fredriks kyrka, author and expert on Danish philosopher and theologian Søren Kierkegaard . Harris was born in Barbados and the family emigrated to the United Kingdom when he was 13 years old. He has described his time in London as very hard. In his mid 20s he came to Copenhagen, met his soon to be Swedish wife and was introduced to writings of Danish theologian Søren Kierkegaard. With his wife he moved to Sweden where he has remained ever since. In 1987 he became a pastor with the Swedish Lutheran church. Ted Harris (politician)
Edward David Harris (30 August 1911 – 2 October 1993) was a member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly. Biography Harris was born at Brisbane, Queensland, the son of the Alfred Edward Harris and his wife Elizabeth Roxborough (née Smith). He was educated at Goodna, Wynnum, and Sherwood state schools. He joined the RAAF in 1940 and served in the 24th and 75th Squadrons, being discharged in 1945 with the rank of sergeant. On his return to Australia he worked as a clothing manufacturer at Manly, specializing in men's and boys wear. On 20 May 1942, Harris married Marion Miller Morrison and together had a beautiful daughter, also named Marion, and a son. He died at the Gold Coast in October 1993.HARRIS EDWARD DAVID
